See the trail conditions and listen to the nat sounds captured from the perspective of NOBO NPT thru-hikers. The 138 mile Northville Lake Placid Trail runs through some of the most remote areas of Adirondack Park in New York State. We hiked the trail in 10 days from 9/8/22 - 9/17/22. We camped 3 nights in our tent, 4 nights in lean-tos, and 2 nights in hotels. We met and shared camp with other NOBO thru hikers and once shared a lean-to with a couple who were camping for an extended weekend. That couple fed us corn on the cob, baked potatoes and bratwurst…a real treat after several days of freeze dried dinners and trail snacks!
Special thanks to Emma, for the shuttle to and from the trailheads and her knowledge of the trail from her thru-hike. To Bob Shuttles for holding our first resupply package, uplifting our spirits and hooking us up with a hiker discount for a fancy stay at the Irondequoit Inn. To the Adirondack Hotel for the classic accomodations, delicious burgers, and for holding our second resupply package. And finally to the Adirondack Mountain Club and volunteers for maintaining this rugged and remote trail.
