Biwako-Hamaotsu Station 13:32 bound for Uzumasa Tenjin Keihan Electric Railway Series 800 train
The train is bound for Uzumasa Tenjin, but I took a photo of it on the way to Sanjo Keihan.
From Misasagi Station, it enters the Kyoto Municipal Subway Tozai Line.
The Keishin Line's vehicles look like normal trains, but legally they are not "Railroads" but "Streetcar" that are treated as streetcars.
After leaving Biwako-Hamaotsu Station, the train runs on the road, and after passing Kamisakae-cho, the gradient becomes steeper, and after passing under National Route 1, there is a gradient of 61‰ (about 3.5°).
After passing through Osakayama Tunnel, the platform at Otani Station has a gradient of 40‰, making it the steepest station in Japan other than mountain railways.
After passing Keihan Yamashina Station, the train enters the underground section and continues on the Kyoto Municipal Subway Line, a route full of sights to see.
Stops along the way
Kamisakaemachi, Otani, Oiwake, Shinomiya, Keihan Yamashina, Misasagi, Keage, Higashiyama
