In the first part, two weeks ago, we discussed all the things you should avoid doing in France. In this second episode dedicated to politeness, we're doing the opposite: this time, we're focusing on behaviors that are perfectly acceptable in France but might surprise (or even shock!) people elsewhere. Of course, this is a personal reflection – so subjective – inspired by our own experiences (and a few reliable facts too!). For about half an hour, we talk about mobile phones, smiling, tipping, and even... mockery. So, listen carefully until the end to fully understand the subtleties of French politeness before your next trip to France. You won't be disappointed!
Dans la première partie, il y a deux semaines, nous avons discuté de tout ce qu’il vaut mieux éviter de faire en France. Dans ce second épisode consacré à la politesse, on fait cette fois-ci le contraire : nous nous intéressons à ces comportements qui passent sans problème en France mais qui peuvent surprendre (voire choquer !) ailleurs. Évidemment, c’est une réflexion personnelle - donc subjective - inspirée de nos propres expériences (et quelques données sérieuses aussi !). Pendant une grosse demi-heure, on te parle de téléphone portable, de sourire, de pourboire et même… de moqueries. Bref, écoute bien jusqu’à la fin pour tout comprendre des subtilités de la politesse à la française avant ton prochain séjour chez nous. Tu ne devrais pas être déçu.e !
