However, beyond the vulnerability of the sites highlighted by the operations of environmental activists, the investigation into the Brussels attacks of March 2016 revealed that Belgian nuclear power did indeed constitute a potential target for terrorists looking for weapons of mass destruction.
From the fall of an airliner on a reactor to cyberattacks, including drones, acts of sabotage or the homemade manufacture of dirty bombs – a mixture of explosives and radioactive materials – the threats, recognized by experts , are real.
