Watching the US Navy Ceremonial Guard team perform their silent drill in Times Square for NYC Fleet Week 2024 was quite something.
Their style was very different than The United States Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon's, which I saw perform the day before.
The Marines were more reserved and restrained in their performance, while the Navy Ceremonial Guard had a higher degree of difficulty - throwing around those rifles with the bayonets on top was a bit scary.
Once the performance was over, they were very friendly and approachable, and seemed to enjoy taking pictures with people. (The Marines also posed for pictures with people and were very friendly, so I don't want to give you the wrong impression about that.)
As I mentioned before, I look forward to bringing you scenes from NYC Fleet Week 2025.
