In this month’s garden guide, I focus on vegetable crops & plants that can be started from seed or planted during the month of October. I'll cover important garden tasks like fertilizing fruit trees, techniques for sowing seeds, & how to choose the correct cultivars for your garden. October marks the beginning of planting a lot of food crops that cannot be grown during other times of the year (for South USA gardeners) such as strawberries, potatoes, onions, and garlic.
