Soooooo.......this is different! No CT125 today, folks.
My friend Tyler and his girlfriend Alicia were on a really cool trip up the East coast and made time to stop and visit here in Asheville. Tyler and I got to ride our motorcycles around, ride mountain bikes, and spend some quality time catching up.
When it was time to leave, Tyler opted to leave his bike with me for a week since he wasn't going to have time to ride it on their trip.
So.....I rode it to work everyday! I found a few things that really stood out to me.
Overall, I like it! It's super powerful. 5x more powerful than the CT125 to be exact! But, like anything, it's a give and a take. The seat is uncomfortable, there's no way to really carry anything conveniently, and riding with a passenger isn't ideal. That being said, it's a purpose built bike. It's meant to be thrashed around off-road in the dirt. The suspension is soft and lets you glide over just about anything. The bike is tall, but not top heavy. The weight sit's low and the bike feels very natural to ride. It reminds me of my old 2002 V-Strom 1000 in very positive ways.
What do you guys think? Would you prefer a CT125 or a DRZ400? Are they even comparable? If you could have only one bike, what would you pick?
