Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Welcome to #tutorialtuesday Everyone. So happy you are able to join me for this fun twist to Tutorial Tuesday.

Rocks should be easy, right? Well… this one pushed me out of my comfort zone. Today, I’m taking on something a little different for Tutorial Tuesday—a 4-square rock tutorial, where I break down four different styles of rocks you can use in your landscape paintings. I think you will have some fun with square 2 because I totally mess it up.. don't worry - I did still fix it.

This is actually the second ever 4-square tutorial I’ve done, and I’m excited to be bringing this format back. It’s a great way to focus on smaller elements that make a big difference in a full scene. Be sure to check out the clouds full tutorial next https://youtu.be/5A71YWktbtg

In this video, I’ll be covering:

Palette Knife Rocks & Boulders – Bold, textured, and full of character
River Rocks & Reflections – Smooth, rounded stones with beautiful water reflections
Ocean Rocks & Sand – Soft, weathered edges meeting textured sand
Meadow Rocks & Grasses – Cozy, mossy stones nestled into soft grass

This was harder than usual, and definitely not my normal way of painting, but I really hope you all enjoy this variation to Tutorial Tuesday. It’s always fun to try something new, and I think these techniques will be a fun addition to our #tutorialtuesday videos. Will you let me know what you think in the comments, please?

Let me know which rock style was your favorite or if there’s a technique you’d like me to cover next. And if you’d like to support my channel, consider subscribing, sharing, or even booking a private lesson with me at contact-me@kayleerakowski.com.
