Okada Manila was built over a period of seven years at a total cost of approximately 240 billion JPY (2.4 billion US dollars), with a pre-opening in December 2016 and an official opening in March 2017. It faces Manila Bay, which overlooks the deep red sunset that is counted as one of the three most beautiful sunsets in the world.
Okada Manila was founded by Kazuo Okada, chairman of Universal Entertainment, and is the world's first casino hotel to be solely owned and operated by a Japanese person.
