Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project. I bought this hunting axe at flea market. Well, I got information from internet about this old hatchet. This is old vintage hunting kit (knife and axe), but seller just had only axe, and kit also should include a hunting knife. So, first of all I removed old rivets and after use electrolysis to remove layers of rusty. In the head of axe I saw major hole, due to old rivets are rusty and can't hold construction on head axe. I drilled two holes in the head of axe and riveted again. For that hunting axe I decided make some animal silhouettes but I failed 3 times and if someone knows where is the mistakes, please leave a comment. I made an engraving on axe blade and now there appear a boar and deer. Then I prepared plastic material, I don't know exactly name and information about this stuff, but for this hatchet handle its fits well. I use bronze rivets for handle. In last step I use sandpaper and sanding old areas on the axe. I got it in the end a new hunting axe for camping, fishing or hunting. I like this shape of axe and weight of it. I hope you enjoy this axe restoration. Thank you for attention. Sincerely, Alex. Thanks for attention! Good luck and health to everyone! With best wishes, Alex!
