The SHUTO Expressway Central Circular Route (C2) is a loop route that branches off from the SHUTO Expressway Bayshore Route (B) Oi JCT, passes through the subcenters of Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Ikebukuro, and then heads east from Itabashi JCT to connect with the SHUTO Expressway Bayshore Route (B) Kasai JCT, parallel to the Arakawa River. The Central Circular Route (C2) is located approximately 8 km from central Tokyo and connects to the Tomei Expressway and the Chuo Expressway. The route passes through the Yamate Tunnel, Japan's longest road tunnel at 18.6 km, between Oi JCT and Itabashi JCT. The route is 46.9 km long, and the journey time is approximately 40 minutes on weekends and holidays.
