In this video, Fali Nariman, Senior Advocate, recalls an amusing incident involving the legendary lawyer Nani Palkhivala in the Supreme Court during the arguments in the Golaknath case. This relates to a hilarious repartee from the famous advocate general of UP Mr Kanahiya Lal Mishra. Nani was on his feet in the court arguing on the implied limitation doctrine.
Mr Fali Nariman (1929-2024) was a senior Advocate and renowned jurist. Awarded a Padma Bhushan (1991) and Padma Vibhushan (2007), he was an Additional Solicitor General of India from May 1972- June 1975. He was one of India's most distinguished constitutional lawyers.
