I have worked in the Operation Christmas Child Processing Center for many years. I always come away feeling so much love for this ministry. I will admit though, that many times I get frustrated at the lack of good filler available to fill up a half filled box or to replace the inappropriate items that we must remove. OCC relies on corporate donations and they do a great job! And I must stress packing your shoeboxes first is preferred! But if you have some items to share that you are not using...please consider sending!
Making "wow" filler packs is fun to do with any leftover items that you are not sending this year! It's like a small bag of love to help fill a box. And ALL sizes of filler are needed! Small things, big stuffies, school supplies, etc.! The possibilities are endless! No bags are needed but they do help especially when it comes to a clothing size and keeping items together.
I want to encourage all of you to consider donating extra items to your processing centers for this purpose! It is sorely needed!
