Orange Rolls, Cinnamon Rolls, Crescent Rolls
Basic Sweet Roll Recipe- No Kneading
1 1/4 cups scalded whole milk
3/4 cup sugar
1 TABLESPOON salt
3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup warm water (105-110 degrees)
3 packs Fleischmann's yeast
2 large eggs
6 cups un-sifted all-purpose flour (King Arthur works best)
Scald milk, add sugar, salt and butter mix well
Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water
In large bowl combine yeast and milk mixture
Add eggs and 2 cups of the flour - beat until smooth
add remaining flour mixing by hand until fully incorporated
Refrigerate for 2-3 hours (can be left in refrigerator for up to 3 days)
Use to make any type of sweet roll or crescent rolls
Makes 3-4 dozen rolls
Most rolls are baked for 20-25 minutes at 350-375 degrees
These rolls freeze very well.
