4K Virtual Hike through Oregon Rainforest on the Wilson River Trail to Lester Creek - the full hike in real-time! An immersive walk with sights & sounds courtesy of mother nature - the world's best form of relaxation. Hidden in the Coast Range of the Pacific Northwest, the gorgeous Wilson River - a popular spot with locals for a cool summer swim - flows roughly 33 miles from the lush (and sadly over-logged) mountain slopes west of Portland before reaching the ocean at Tillamook Bay. The 20.6 mi / 33.2 km Wilson River Trail walks alongside most of it, and here I've captured a pleasantly quiet section that ironically starts from a not-so-quiet ATV recreation site (which actually lends itself to this hike being a bit of a secret), crosses the Wilson River on a neat bridge, then winds up the west flank of towering Kings Mountain through tranquil rainforest before climbing to some nice views and rock pinnacles, and turning around near the headwaters of burbling Lester Creek. Enjoy! I'm still ironing out the camera setup, as well as the format/structure of these vids going forward... thanks for yall's patience! Please feel free to comment on the good, the bad, or the ugly - this is a learning experience. My goal is for each video to improve on the last. This trail was very steep in parts - in retrospect, I should've compensated by tilting the camera up more.
