Isn't it interesting how punk memorabilia is now in museums? Are you like me and wish you had saved more from your youth? Join us as we visit the Orlando Art Museum for their recent exhibit titled "Torn Apart." It features the collection of Andrew Krivine, who has one of the most extensive collections in the world of punk posters, flyers, buttons, fanzines and more. Andrew Krivine is the cousin of John Krivine, who started Acme Attractions and BOY on the Kings Road.
Also featured were some punk clothing items, and the photos by Sheila Rock who was on the early punk scene in London in 1976 and 1977.
If it comes to your town, I would recommend seeing "Torn Apart." It reminds me that punk was such a vibrant and creative time; not just for musicians, but for photographers, clothing designers and graphic artists.
Enjoy!
