Step-by-Step Recipe: Fall-Off-The-Bone Oven-Baked Ribs
Ingredients:
1 rack of Baby Back Ribs
1 lemon
Lawry's Seasoned Salt (or your favorite seasoning salt)
BBQ rub of your choice
BBQ sauce (Franklin's BBQ Sauce recommended)
Instructions:
Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs. Bend the ribs slightly, slide your fingers under the membrane, and pull it off. Use a paper towel for better grip if needed.
Slice one lemon and squeeze the juice over the ribs. Rub it in thoroughly. The lemon's acidity helps break down the protein fibers and connective tissue, making the ribs extra tender.
Start with Lawry's Seasoned Salt. Place the ribs meat-side down and season evenly. Add a layer of your favorite BBQ rub. Hold the seasoning slightly above the ribs for an even spread. Don't forget the edges.
Flip the ribs to the meaty side (presentation side). Repeat the seasoning process with Lawry's and the BBQ rub.
Preheat your oven to 300°F.Place the ribs in a foil pan and cover them tightly with foil (dull side towards the meat).Bake for 2 ½ hours
After baking, remove the foil. Brush BBQ sauce generously on the ribs, starting with the meat-side down. Be sure to coat every crevice. Carefully flip the ribs (they'll be very tender) and repeat on the presentation side.
Set your oven to broil. Place the sauced ribs back in the oven for 5-15 minutes, keeping a close eye to avoid burning. Broil until the sauce becomes tacky and the edges are slightly charred.
Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Perform a pull test-the bones should slide out easily, and the meat should fall apart.
Slice and serve with extra BBQ sauce if desired.
Pro Tip: These ribs are so tender they might fall apart when you handle them-so be gentle!
