Most overlanders seek out vehicles like a Jeep Gladiator, Ford Bronco, or Toyota Tacoma, and load them up with all the fancy accoutrements for overlanding. But what about other options? For example, can you go overlanding in a tiny, diesel, Mahindra Roxor?
Today we set out to explore the local roads, views, and other hidden gems (like Honey Run Falls) in our Roxor while pulling our lightweight overland trailer. Although the fancy things, like a rooftop tent, pop up gazebo, propane firepit, etc., may help with the comfort and ease of overlanding, don't think you have to spend lots of money to enjoy this hobby. We could have enjoyed this half a tank local adventure with a hand me down tent and a few sleeping bags. So make sure you go out and explore what the fifty miles around your home have to offer, regardless of whether you take the road less traveled in a twenty-year-old Subaru or a brand new Jeep.
