In this tutorial I teach you how to carve with basic and homemade tools, we are going to create a false stone from plaster of Paris and loose tea to give it a very particular visual texture. Although it is a process that involves several hours of work, it is very rewarding to reach the final result. I'm going to give you 3 finish options so you can choose the one you like the most, also a couple of options for the bases and tips to give it a little color. MATERIALS:
Tea in threads (previously infused to remove the color) of 10 to 12 grams or bags.
Plaster of Paris 600 grams (generally 2 parts plaster x 1 part water
Water 300 grams
Chinese stick or sturdy wooden rod
Log Slice / MDF Base
Acrylics or watercolors
Natural paste wax (colorless)
20.5 cm box. x 7.5cm. x 7cm. (mold)
EVA foam / Plush cloth

TOOLS:
carbon paper
Paper tape
Liquid silicone or glue gun
Wet wipe or cloth
Clean and dry cotton cloths / Sponge
Brush
Hard bristle toothbrush
Serrated Saw/Knife
Chisel / Screwdriver (screwdriver or screwdriver...however you know it) with a flat tip
Scalpel or Cutter
Hammer
Gouges
Half round file
Sandpaper 100
Carpenter's glue / Resistol / School glue / Vinyl glue
Disposable container to prepare the plaster
Nylon to protect the table
