Video Not Working? Fix It Now

2007 Ford Taurus EGR System testing. EGR valve function, flow and pressure sensor (DPFE) testing is shown, focusing on quick tests you can do on these systems to greatly speed up the troubleshooting process. The tests I demonstrate can be applied to any Ford/Lincoln/Mercury vehicle out there that uses this style of EGR/DPFE system. For more info on DPFE sensor testing, I’ve added a link below to the Ford Ranger case study I mentioned in the video. Engine Performance Diagnostics chapter 24, page 9 Symptoms - check engine light (P0405, P1000) Fix - replaced the DPFE sensor Tests shown - understanding the P1000 code - using the Snap-On Troubleshooter to learn more about component testing - using scan data to check for DPFE signal voltage - understanding Ford EGR systems and how the DPFE monitors flow - how to test a EVR (EGR vacuum regulator) solenoid with a test light - how to test a DPFE sensor signal circuit by unplugging the sensor Tools used - Autel MS905 MaxiSys Mini Diagnostic System with Connector Kit - USA Version https://www.jbtoolsales.com/autel-ms905-maxisys-mini-diagnostic-system-with-vci-and-connector-kit-usa-version/#oid=1014_1 - Incandescent Test Light https://www.jbtoolsales.com/otc-3633-mini-circuit-tester/#oid=1014_1 Playlist - (Chapter 8) Pressure Sensor Testing, MAP, BARO, DPFE, fuel tank and rail pressure sensors https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAFYVCyenqcoFWIaYzFZcB5PX5iOMiDTQ Related videos - Ford Ranger EGR Flow Trouble Code P0401 (DPFE fault) https://youtu.be/RUmH4lwTLKs - How to test for proper EGR flow (restricted intake passage) - Ford https://youtu.be/znw-gjLE0fk - 2000 Ford Focus EGR System Tests (EGR, DPFE, EVR) - P1409 https://youtu.be/C6fL_dFy_us - How to test for EGR flow problems (GM electronic EGR test) - P0401 https://youtu.be/QYtYSgglJoY For more information on this topic, I have written a “field manual” called Engine Performance Diagnostics which is available at www.scannerdanner.com as an eBook or paper book.
