Video Not Working? Fix It Now

In todays video, I'll be demonstrating how to fix a high/surging/erratic idle associated with check engine light codes P0505 and P1129. I'll show you how to fix these issues on my 2002 Acura TL-S with 350,000 miles. In my scenario, I had a faulty IACV that was causing both of these codes.
It is possible for some of these tests to pass despite the part being bad. For example, the IACV could pass the vacuum and tapping tests but fail the throttle body port plug test, or the EGR valve could pass the ohm test, but fail the piston test. So make sure you watch the entire video and perform all of the tests before purchasing parts to ensure you know what the problem is and don't waste money on unnecessary parts.
If you replace a part and the problem persists, don't forget to retest that new part you just put in because it is possible the replacement part is bad.

Some of the causes for these issues include:
- Bad Idle Air Control Valve (IACV (Most common))
- Bad Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor
- Air in the coolant system
- Bad Throttle Position (TP) Sensor
- Bad Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve
- Bad Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve
- Leak in Motor Mounts
- Vacuum leak
