Did the Edmund Fitzgerald break on the surface? Did it break on the way to the bottom? Or when the bow plowed into the bottom? These are questions that Captain Darrell and I (History Mystery Man) discuss in this episode on the Mighty Fitz, which sank in a horrendous Lake Superior storm on Nov. 10, 1975. We also touch on Edmund Fitzgerald 50th Anniversary plans coming together for Nov. 10, 2025. From there we migrate toward the Arthur M. Anderson, which last made contact with the Fitz just before she sank shortly after 7pm. The Anderson is currently laid up in Toledo, Ohio for the winter; however, there is also talk of the Anderson, launched in 1952, laying for up good thus ending her brilliant career on the Great Lakes. There is all that and much more. Thanks for your support!
