In this YouTube, I am going to give a role model PADI IDC Knowledge Development Presentation to help you get good scores on your PADI IDC and Instructor Examination (IE). It is essential to understand that there are many different ways of presenting a PADI IDC Knowledge Development Presentation.

To get the highest score (5.0), you need to make sure you cover the following criteria on your IDC and the IE:

Introduction:

Contact story
Key point(s)
Conduct
Applying information to diving circumstances and current level of training

(PADI IDC Knowledge Development Presentation)

Body:

Stated the objective
Stay within scope
Follow lesson plan
Relate to other components in the course
Applying information to diving circumstances and current level of training and local environment
Promote continuo education
Promote dive equipment or dive travel

(PADI IDC Knowledge Development Presentation)

Summary:

Reapply information to diving circumstances
Restate objective
Restate key points
Promote con-ed again
Promote dive equipment again

Training Aids (Tools):

Effectively used the PADI PLG (if available)
Effectively used other PADI material
Effectively used Dive Equipment
Effectively used Non-Diving training aid
Effectively interacted with students

To help you get points for all these criteria during your PADI IDC Knowledge Development Presentation PADI created a Lesson Plan form that you can find in the PADI Guide of Teaching. We have adjusted this Lesson Plan form a bit to make it even easier for you to follow the nice sequence and ensure the highest points fluently. In the PADI IDC Knowledge Development Presentation Video you see the same order as described here:

Introduction:

Contact story
Key point(s)
Applying information to diving circumstances and current level of training
Conduct

Body:

Have a student read the objective
Teach
Effectively interact with students
Press the i button and the video on the PADI PLG
Use a non-diving training aid
Use diving equipment
Use PADI material
Applying information to diving circumstances and current level of training and local environment
Promote continuo education
Promote dive equipment or dive travel

Summary:

Reapply information to diving circumstances
Restate objective
Restate key points
Promote con-ed again
Promote dive equipment again

Like I said before you should conduct a PADI IDC Knowledge Development Presentation between 5 to 15 minutes, and I recommend around 7 to 10 if possible. How long it takes, really depends on the question you get on the IDC or IE.
