During the IDC Course an IDC Candidate needs to present at least two integrated (two skills) open water teaching presentations (wet), scoring a minimum of 3.4 on each skill for one Open Water presentation, including:
-at least one set of skills from the PADI Open Water Diver course.
-at least one set of skills from a continuing education course requiring a demonstration.
-at least one set of skills without a certified assistant.
This video shows how to conduct these PADI Open Water Presentation with IDC Skills with no demonstration required and with the help of a certified (PADI Divemaster or higher) assistant.
I recommend that you experiment and try out different styles during your PADI Open Water Presentation.
Tips for your PADI IDC Skills Open Water Presentations:
1. Stay relaxed, calm and conduct your Open Water IDC Skill Presentation slowly.
2. It’s all about organisation, have your scuba diving students be in a perfect half circle of straight line.
3. In some cases during the PADI IDC Skills Open Water Presentations you need to repeat the skill after you corrected problems and in some cases, you can let the skill continuo. My tip is when in doubt, just repeat the skill (especially on the PADI IE).
I have made a video where I solve problems for the PADI IDC Confined Water Skills. And the way I do it is similar for the Open Water IDC Skills. Maybe check out the PADI IDC Skill Problems & Solutions Video for Confined Water video here: https://youtu.be/BaP0B94IpO8
