Jean Dubuffet, a French artist, made paintings and sculptures. In this video I will paint like Jean Dubuffet and focus on the Jean Dubuffet portrait paintings. Dubuffet is the founder of l’art brut or Art Brut movement, where art informel, amateur art, raw art or art brut outsider art is put in the spotlights. The art Dubuffet made at first, paintings that looks childlike and made with oils mixed with all sort of materials put him in the Avant Garde art movement. What I especially like is the paintings he made later in life just using the colors red, blue, black and white. In this video I will show you how you can paint like Dubuffet too.
