In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to paint a sunflower landscape adding details to the sunflower “star of the show” while letting the others softly diffuse. We will using wet on wet technique and negative painting to control the viewer’s focus.

Paints, Daniel Smith Extra Fine and Primatek Watercolors:
French ultramarine
Raw sienna light
Hansa yellow medium
Deep sap green
Green gold
Transparent red oxide
Brown iron oxide
Bloodstone genuine

Brushes: Princeton Size 6 Round and Silver Black Velvet Size 2 Round
