Painting a stormy sky can add drama to your landscape paintings especially if you choose complementary colours to contrast against the blue greys of the stormy sky. Here in this demonstration of 'Painting a Stormy Sky' I show the colours I used for the foreground to add drama to what might have otherwise been a very grey painting.
Materials used :
Canvas 70cm x 70cm primed with acrylic gesso
Michael Harding oil paints -
Titanium white, ultramarine blue, phalo blue, Ivory black, Burnt umber, Cadmium red, Indian yellow
