Today's episode is full of lots of easy, fun, DIY projects using mostly thrifted items. And you're going to LOVE my simple hack for creating big, beautiful floral arrangements!
Updating thrift store items can be as simple as a quick coat of paint. The candlesticks, glass vases, silver bowl, and urn were all painted in the Rustoleum Chalk Paint in the color Linen White. I used Valspar Weathered Glaze to achieve the gorgeous Crackle on the urn. Distressing with wet wipes or sand paper easily reveals character and texture of painted items. Pieces were then waxed with Folk Art Clear Wax.
Pumpkins for the topiary were from Dollar Tree and Walmart. Bottom pumpkin painted with CraftSmart Chalk Paint from Michael's in Deep Peach. Other pumpkins painted in Waverly Chalk Paint from Walmart in the colors Cashew and Celery. Knob was recently purchased from TJ Maxx, and may still be available. I just love these soft, muted shades for Fall Decorating!
Creating an oversized Floral Arrangement can be daunting, but my tutorial shows it's actually a simple process. Start with something to hold in floral foam. Place a wreath on top of the bucket, followed by a section of garland to give you a good base, and add florals until you are pleased with your gorgeous creation!
Happy Crafting and Be Blessed!
