In this video, Pajero Evaporator Cooling Coil Flush and Clean, I pull off the lower conduit to my aircon Cooling Coil/ Evaporator to find that the cooling coil in the Pajero is nearly completely clogged up. Once I have the cooling cool exposed, I placed a cheap bucket under the cooling cool conduit and took the fittings off my garden hose which plugged snugly onto the aircon Cooling coil drain pipe outlet (as seen here: https://youtu.be/PBexqNZFM14). I had my son turn on the hose which pushed out some really funky sludge that must have been there for years until it finally clogged the drain and the cooling coil vents.I did bring the garden hose inside while i gently scrubbed too and this worked well, I just couldn't hold up the camera to capture this at the same time. I got very little water in the car and it worked well.
Side note: Pollen Filter- if the car had one initially this would have prevented the muck getting to the cooling coil so grab one and put it in. Its an easy job but mine had to cut the pre-moulded shape out with a pocket knife even though it had 2 screws in place to hold it in...... go figure.
