PaRappa the Rapper has been a beloved character for over twenty years, but also hasn't seen an actual proper sequel in over twenty years. He still gets new merchandise to this day, so why has there never been a new PaRappa the Rapper, a PaRappa the Rapper 3, an Um Jammer Lammy 2, or...anything? I decided to look at some spiritual successors to PaRappa the Rapper to find out why.
