The miraculous splitting of the Sea of Reeds is the epitome of all miracles. Crossing the sea on dry land, Moses and Israel responded with the spontaneous singing in unison of the beautiful 'Song of the Sea.' Yet the deepest truth is that both the event and the song are actually a prophetic vision of a far greater, future event that will forever change human history -- and our conception of God.
The Torah portion of B'Shalach (Exodus 13 : 17 - 17 : 16) is read on Shabbat, 10 Shevat 5785 - February 8, 2025 (Shabbat Shirah)
