NEW BOOK: https://cnu.sellfy.store/ ALSO ON AMAZON: https://a.co/d/6C6lXGa _____________________________________ 👉🏼 Lecture Notes: https://cnu.sellfy.store/p/parenteral-nutrition-calculations/ This video provides you with a step-by-step process for calculating parenteral nutrition. You will learn how to the estimate nutritional needs for a patient, determine the grams and volume for each macronutrient, and how to write a prescription. Remember, parenteral nutrition is intravenous nutrition! There are several types of parenteral nutrition like PPN, TPN, 2-in-1 bags, 3-in-1 bags, and pre-mixed formulations. This video just gives you the basics of figuring out the composition using macronutrients. In future videos, I will talk about the different types, how this influences the composition, and how to determine the micronutrient composition. So subscribe and stay tuned! **NOTE** When discussing grams of carbohydrate per day, I say “1,400 minutes” on the audio, but the screen says “1,440” 1,440 is the correct number. _____________________________________ ✨ Make sure you subscribe to @clinicalnutritionuniversity so you can continue to build your knowledge and skills 📩 Email me at [email protected] if you would like to see the resources used to make this video 📸 Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mitchellzandes/ 🔥 Check out my 5 book recommendations here: 1.
