বাংলাদেশের রাজনৈতিক ইতিহাস নিয়ে আমার ধারণা খুবই স্বল্প। বর্তমান অবস্থার প্রেক্ষিতে মনে হইসে একটু জানার দরকার। বইয়ে লেখক শেখ মুজিব, শেখ হাসিনা আর তার নিজের ফাসি দাবী করেছেন অসংখ্য দাঙ্গা, খুন, ষড়যন্ত্রের জন্য। এই বই পড়ার পরে শেখ হাসিনাকে একজন সাইকোপ্যাথ ছাড়া আর কিছু মনে হয় না। সব আন্দোলনের পেছনে কেন উনি বা উনারা বিএনপি জামাতের ষড়যন্ত্র দেখতে পান এটা বেশ পরিস্কার বোঝা যায়।
সব রাজনৈতিক বই-ই বায়াসড বই। এইবারের কোটা আন্দোলন নিয়েও আওয়ামী পন্থি কেউ হয়ত ২০ বছর পরে বই লেখে বিএনপি জামাতের ষড়যন্ত্র বলে চালায় দিবে। সুতরাং এক বই থেকেই কোন সিদ্ধান্তে যাচ্ছি না। তবে শেখ হাসিনার ব্যক্তিগত জীবন সম্পর্কে সত্য, অর্ধসত্য বা মিথ্যা যেকোন ভাবেই সবচেয়ে কম্প্রিহেনসিভ বই মনে হয় এটা।
বইয়ের উপসংহার: সাবেক রাষ্ট্রপতি হুসাইন মুহাম্মদ এরশাদের মত ক্ষমতাসীন থাকাকালে শেখ হাসিনা ক্ষমতাচ্যুত হলে শেখ হাসিনা দেশ থেকে পালিয়ে যাবেন এবং পালিয়ে যাওয়ার আগে শেখ হাসিনা কাশ্মীরের হিন্দু রাজার মত ভারতীয় সেনাবাহিনী ডেকে এদেশটাকে ভারতের দখলে দিয়ে যাবেন- মতিয়ুর রহমান রেন্টু (১৯৯৯)
