This video shows how to replace the ignition distributor pickup coil (aka hall effect sensor, camshaft position sensor), rotor button, and distributor cap. I had a problem with the an intermittent miss fire and am trying to figure out the problem. This process should be very similar to the ZJ 1993 1994 1995 1996 1997 1998 93 94 95 96 97 98 Jeeps with the 4.0L 242 CID engine. It could also apply to the XJ YJ TJ vehicles but I have not worked on any of these models. Part 2 will cover the crankshaft position sensor removal and installation.
