Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Do you like watching BN Alco's, F-units and Geep's hauling trains on the 1970's Burlington Northern? How about the unique ex-Pennsy Penn Central "Hammerhead" RS-3? Or even a legacy Santa Fe BNSF SD75? This video has all these things, and more! Brian Elchlepp assembles a "dog's breakfast" of his superbly detailed BN engines and runs them around on Burr Stewart's train layout, while Aidan Murry takes a spin with the new Bowser PRR Alco "hammerhead" RS-3. And at one point, Dave Enger runs his brand new "grime" Athearn Genesis SD75M into Mukilteo. To see Dave rust the Kadee couplers he installed on his engines, see: https://youtube.com/shorts/lGQ7iToOJXk The fun never stops on @muchfunwithtrains ! A much shorter "shorts" vertical format version of Brian's consist is at: https://youtube.com/shorts/m6iyVwDyvT8 The new Bowser Alco RS-3 "hammerhead" was also featured in: https://youtu.be/sCjhZPGnXrc Burr's HO scale "Burrlington Northern" model railroad, is set in the BN's Seattle region in 1973, three years after the 1970 corporate merger that created the Burlington Northern (BN) Railway out of the Great Northern (GN), Northern Pacific (NP), Burlington Route (CB&Q) and the Spokane, Portland and Seattle (SP&S) railroads. Playing smaller roles on the layout are the three-foot narrow gage (HOn3) D&RGW fictitious "west coast extension", the Milwaukee Road (MILW)'s western extension and the Union Pacific (UP). The Milwaukee Road's "Western Extension" was given trackage rights over the BN from Everett to Bellingham as part of the ICC's approval of the BN merger, so it was common to see MILW trains on the BN mainline along the coast during the 1970's. Penn Central, not so much.... To see a recent overview of the layout without trains running, see "Part 100": https://youtu.be/DkPXOEeymjc A comprehensive orientation to Burr's layout as a whole, with maps and station diagrams, is shown in "Part 38" of Burr's model railroad operations series here: https://youtu.be/YkYt-M0bGco and a briefer 4-minute orientation video is at: https://youtu.be/t5A5WsqKq24 For even more "fun with trains", and additional detail on the layout, here are links to some of Burr's previous videos that focused on them: For switching Interbay yard, watch these: Part 1 - Switching Interbay: https://youtu.be/2sAdTHq6HmI Part 2 - Switching Interbay departures: https://youtu.be/VAkH-x7IunU Part 3 - Heading east from Interbay: https://youtu.be/MKDNzH9SvNg For highlights from other op sessions, watch these: Part 80 - Highlights of three BN operating sessions: https://youtu.be/wU8QqDqS1O8 Part 37 - Highlights of an op session with FOBNR: https://youtu.be/vRKd4WCdF-w Part 11 - Op session #25: https://youtu.be/4gb8HxecAxU For narrow gauge operations, see: Part 4 - Narrow gauge mine run to Cascade Copper Co. : https://youtu.be/OEkAc_eaFak Part 42 - HOn3 camera car tour: https://youtu.be/vIy4q67yhNI For completely different "onboard" tours of Burr's HO scale model railroad layout, see two "cab view" train ride videos: HO standard gauge lines at https://youtu.be/vyFjoY5CXeo HOn3 narrow gauge lines at https://youtu.be/vIy4q67yhNI You can find more information about the real Burlington Northern Railroad, which operated in the US "Pacific Northwest" between 1970 and 1995 (and the subsequent BNSF and Montana Rail Link (MRL)) by joining the Friends of the Burlington Northern Railroad at https://FOBNR.org . The Great Northern Railway Historical Society is at https://gnrhs.org and the Northern Pacific Historical Association is at https://nprha.org . The Milwaukee Road Historical Association is at https;//mrha.com . All of these volunteer organizations are terrific resources for modeling Pacific Northwest trains in earlier eras. If you're interested in operating model trains more realistically, check out the resources of (and join!) the Operations Special Interest Group (https://opsig.org) affiliated with the National Model Railroad Association (https://nmra.org). Many other videos about Burr's HO model train layout (and other layouts that he's visited) are on this channel @muchfunwithtrains, which includes both model and prototype footage of trains, mostly in the Seattle region. Burr took this video's footage with an iPhoneX, and edited it with BlackMagic's Davinci Resolve 19 software on a MacBook Pro. 0:00 Introduction 0:26 Hitching up to a train 0:39 Prototype veracity 1:00 Northbound on the coast route 1:50 PRR RS-3"hammerhead" at Squid Bridge 2:48 Dog's breakfast passing Everett Jct. 3:10 Meet with hammerhead at Mukilteo 4:21 Upgrade to Skykomish 4:58 Index loop 5:30 Culmination of Burr's career 6:14 Entering Skykomish yard 6:43 Hammerhead close-up 7:06 Cutoff to Bellingham staging yard 8:16 Samish river bridge by Paul Scoles 8:49 Burlington yard proper 9:49 Skagit River to Stillaguamish River 10:52 Hammerhead in accidental slow-motion 12:18 Snohomish River bridge 13:06 BNSF "Santa FE" grime SD75M 13:43 Conclusion
