I recorded an old diesel train ride from an open rail car with a microphone attached to each side of the train. The stereo sound might be the best ambient train recording ever. I shook my neighbor's house when I listened to it. If you have a home theater/stereo, use it. Trust me. Headphones are awesome too. And the more volume the more intricate sounds you'll hear. CHECK YOUR YOUTUBE SETTINGS: click on the gear icon and make certain you're watching in 4k. And there's two new settings in there as well now. Make sure "Ambient Mode" and "Stable Volume" are OFF.
