● About the Speaker:

» Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar is a seasoned politician, lawyer, and human rights advocate. He served as a Senator of Pakistan from 2018 to 2022 and was the Chairman of the Senate Human Rights Committee. Earlier, he held the position of Adviser to the Prime Minister on Human Rights from 2011 to 2013, where he worked on critical policy matters related to fundamental freedoms and justice. A law graduate from the United Kingdom, Khokhar has been an outspoken voice on political governance, democracy, and human rights in Pakistan. His insights into the country’s political landscape, shaped by years of experience in legislative and advisory roles, make him a significant voice in contemporary political discourse.

● About the Discussant:

» Dilawar Hussain is presently serving as visiting faculty at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, where he teaches courses on constitutional and parliamentary history of Pakistan. He has worked as a research fellow at the School of Social and Political Science, University of Edinburgh, Scotland. His areas of specialization include parliamentary, political, constitutional and electoral history of Pakistan.
