We are dedicating this video to a recently lost friend, Daddy Jack Chaplin. Today we are making Pasta Arrabbiata our way! This easy spicy tomato sauce recipe is infused with hot cherry peppers and Italian sausages. This spicy sauce is typically made with Penne pasta (Penne Arrabbiata), but we are using a variation, which is Mostaccioli. They are shaped the same, but the surface is smooth and the pasta itself is very light. This was one of our favorite pasta dishes while visiting Naples, Italy.
This sauce originates from the Lazio region, around Rome. Arrabbiata literally means "angry" in Italian; the name of the sauce refers to the spiciness of the peppers. Arrabbiata sauce is usually served with penne pasta.
We will also be preparing our garlic cheese bread. Very easy to prepare and very, very delicious!
