Paul Gilbert, guitarist and co-founder of the hard rock supergroup Mr. Big, had an affinity for an oddball Ibanez guitar called the Iceman. So much so that when he had the opportunity to create an Ibanez signature model of his own, he created a spiritual sibling to the Iceman that he eventually named the Fireman.
