Peeta presented her journey from being a restorer of woven furniture to making the baskets she creates today. She showed how her work has changed and evolved over the past 5 years and where things are headed. Peeta Tinay Basket Weaving Artist Peeta Tinay grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. From 1990 to 2000 Peeta worked at The Caning Shop in Berkeley, CA. mastering the techniques involved in the restoration of antique and contemporary wicker furniture. Since 2008 Peeta has focused on constructing large scale, intricate baskets. She exhibits at juried fine art shows around the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.
