Chemotherapy, while an effective treatment for cancer, can sometimes lead to peripheral neuropathy. The nerve damage can result in tingling, numbness, or pain in the hands and feet for some patients.
Megan Claire Chase, a breast cancer survivor, experienced severe reactions during chemotherapy treatment, leading to weakness, numbness, and pain in her hands and feet. Her neuropathy created everyday challenges including walking and buttoning clothes, due to the lack of sensation.
