As a shoplifting epidemic sweeps the country, Peter Hitchens says "we have no serious criminal justice system, no serious police force" in the country.
Speaking to Mike Graham on TalkTV, Mr Hitchens says the country has been in a downward spiral since the election of the Blair government in 1997, suggesting the BBC could be to blame are were acting like an old medieval church.
