“I think it might be time to write a book about my life,” Peter Xu announced yesterday at the BTJ Voice of the Persecuted meeting.
Peter Xu is the founder of an underground house church movement in China known as the “Born Again Movement” and is one of the most well known underground house church pastors. He has often been referred to as the Billy Graham of China. Wikipedia estimates that Peter Xu’s church was estimated to be about 20 million members before he left China twenty-four years ago.
The 84-year-old pastor is still preaching and traveling to share about the Back to Jerusalem vision. At BTJ’s Voice of the Persecuted meeting in Moravian Falls, North Carolina, Peter Xu teamed up with Brother Yun to share about the their time in prison together.
Peter has had a fascinating life, but there is so much that is unknown about how he started the largest underground house church in China and became the leader of the one of the top evangelical denominations in the world.
There isn’t any information about how, when, or if there will be a book about Peter Xu’s life, but there is a lot of anticipation for his story.
