Polarity inversion and phase shift are two audio engineering terms that affect an audio waveform in different ways that can end in the same result; phase cancellation.

In this video, I explain each concept in simple terms so that you understand the fundamental difference between the two and why it’s so important to ensure both aren’t sabotaging all your best efforts as you apply EQ and compression.
