Philip Larkin: Love and Death in Hull (Channel 4)
A decent documentary on Philip Larkin's life as the 'Hermit of Hull'. I apologise for the poor video quality, it's the only one I could find. I suppose that this being Larkin, the VHS bleakness fits.
Home is so sad. It stays as it was left,

As if to win them back. Instead, bereft
Of anyone to please, it withers so,
Having no heart to put aside the theft
