Sometimes you want to be able to check and calibrate the infinity focus of one of your cameras. This need is especially prevalent with home-built "project" cameras, or really any suspect camera that doesn't use through-the-lens focusing. No matter how good your photographic technique is, if your camera/lens is out of calibration then your pictures will likely be out of focus.
In this video, I'm going to demostrate two different techniques for checking infinity focus calibration of a camera/lens system. I'll first demonstrate the more obvious "focus on a distant object" method, then I'll show the more interesting (and possibly better) "camera as a collimator" method.
