The central and peripheral nervous system are responsible for sensory and motor, both essential for movement. Brent will be diving into the differences between reflexive movements, automatic movements, and voluntary movement. We will also discuss briefly the difference between the autonomic nervous system and the difference between the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems.
The second part of the session will go into discussion about how disease and injury can affect the nervous system like stroke, spinal cord injury and even lumbar radicular pathologies and how they can be improved through Pilates.
