Are you wanting to attract a wide variety of pollinators to your garden? Well one of the easiest and most attractive shrubs for this mighty task is a butterfly bush! These colorful, low maintenance shrubs are simply irresistible to bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds and yet they are typically not favored by deer. Simply give them as much sun as you can (8 hours is best), don't overwater them, and trim them every late winter, and in return they will give you months of gorgeous blooms with loads of happy pollinators! As a general guideline, butterfly bushes thrive in zones 5-9, but check out your local nursery to find the best one suited for your area of the world.
