The allotment is under snow and ice in January, so not many jobs we can do this week. The bare root strawberry plants have arrived, which means I need to get them planted today in preparation for spring. With things freezing this week, the strawberries will just stay dormant and grow when things warm up. Freezing conditions won't harm them, as strawberries are perennials. The onions, peppers, and aubergines have been planted at home under the grow lights, but I need to do a bit more sowing next week in the greenhouse when things are milder. We will have a look around the very wet and very cold plot and I'll show you what I've been up to! The raised beds are very nearly finished!
