This 4Runner has 236K miles and has seen better days but I'm turning that around quickly. Headlights are one of the main ingredients to a good looking vehicle. In my opinion, you could have a very beat up car but if the headlights are nice and clear it won't actually look as bad. The method for restoring these headlights is a very common sense approach. We need to remove the oxidation from the surface of the plastic and then polish it. To remove that oxidation I'll be using a 4 step process of sanding. Beginning with 400 grit, then 800, then 1500, then 3000 grit sandpaper I'll remove damage and re-smooth the surface of that headlight. After the 3000 grit sanding the headlight will then be polished with Meguiar's PlastX (NOT SPONSORED). This polishing will remove the fine scratches from sanding and clear up that plastic to like new condition. The very last step, after the headlights have been polished is to use Meguiar's Keep Clear Headlight Spray (NOT SPONSORED) and give them a coat or two. This coating has a UV protectant that'll help them to resist yellowing from the sun. Anyways, It's a process for sure but the results speak for themselves. To have factory Toyota headlights that were in such bad condition that they were dangerous to use and then be able to restore them to practically new is incredible. ***This channel is for entertainment purposes only!
